I'm honestly curious - is chicken the tofu of meat? (Clickbait is wonderful by the way.)

If there's a lot of animals out there that somehow taste convincingly like chicken that obviously aren't chickens does that mean it's just the base flavor of meat that the brain can process? If you think about it all we really do with chicken is imbue it with other stuff. When's the last time you had unseasoned and un-breaded cooked chicken without any dips and enjoyed it? I think it's no wonder that tofu can almost perfectly mimic the taste if it's just slightly greasy seasoning.

Still tastes good though.
