Weren't all those music composers from days past just writing computer scripts but for people? They all had to learn a kind of programming language and often had to bug test for faulty code that wasn't being read correctly by getting people to play their pieces. In a sense writing a piece that by design is different every time it's performed like 'In C' by Terry Riley I'd be writing script for a human modular synth.
