As things advance there will be gradually less and less reason to remember anybody. Legacy will be a drug with diminishing returns that we will forego for another transfer addiction. There will be no process, no suffering, that you will have had to endure in order for people to respect you. People of today and yesterday, if you prove your suffering, then your work's value appreciates. There's a 1:1 ratio of suffering input to pleasure output, but that itself is subject to the second law of thermodynamics. There will be a recursive division of suffering, naturally with our intrinsic drive for efficiency, that will result in infinite channels on T.V. but nothing to watch. All that will be left will be you. You will have the only suffering in the world that you can prove definitively. You will be the only source of pleasure in all that there is. You will be all that is beautiful within the world. Beyond the singularity the only reason to engage in art will be for yourself. You will be the holy trinity rolled into one. Creator, Viewer, and Critic.
