Wilfred Owen was a poet who died in the field of battle. My mom had a book of his poems laying around and she liked how it sounded when the foreword referred to him by his last name. She decided that my name was going to be Owen Brendan Larkin. Owen from Wilfred Owen, and Brendan from Saint Brendan. So, funnily enough, my middle name is my only name that isn't a last name.
